Polyurethane foam is lightweight, soft, absorbs shock, and recovers its shape quickly.

EPE Foamย is a lightweight, semi-rigid, flexible closed cellย foam, most commonly used in packaging, for impact and shock absorption, vibration dampening, and surface protection.
It is available in various thickness, roll form, sheet form and can be fabricated into different shapes for the packaging of simple to complicated shaped parts. It is normally available in 22 kg/m3 to 24 kg/m3 density.
Properties of EPE Foam:
- It has the ability to absorb shock and provide good cushioning to delicate objects.
- EPE has a high weight to strength ratio and high thermal resistance
- It can be heated and melted multiple times, and reshaped into other new objects due to the high EPE foam temperature range
- EPE foam is resistant to water, oils, and many chemicals.
- It is also a very good insulating material.
